Are sidekicks better?
People like comics; comics have been around forever, whether they’re DC, Marvel, or just one-shot comic books that some random author miraculously got published. And almost all the superhero ones have sidekicks, sometimes they’re animals, children, and even odd alien creatures, but this has been going on for over 85 years! The first-ever sidekick was Robin, in the 1940s ‘Robin, Boy Wonder comic’. These sidekicks were brought onto the scene to appeal more to younger children and are still very much loved, and draw in more crowds than they would have if they didn't exist, for example, Dick Greyson, who wins popularity polls for over a decade, voted number 3 out of all DC characters and number one on the most popular Robin vote. Not only do people love sidekicks, but so do the creators.
